Crescent Matric Higher Secondary School Managed by Crescent Educational Trust

Crescent School was established in 1985, beginning its journey with a modest enrollment of just 50 children.
Over the years, it has grown and evolved, becoming a nurturing environment for students to learn and thrive. The school’s commitment to education and holistic development has enabled it to expand its facilities and programs, attracting a diverse community of learners.
Students today are increasingly empowered, equipped with the tools and resources to take charge of their own learning experiences. Through innovative technologies and collaborative platforms, they can access a wealth of information and engage in meaningful discussions beyond the traditional classroom setting. This empowerment fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a sense of ownership over their education
Moreover, initiatives that encourage student voice and agency allow learners to contribute to decision-making processes within their schools, enhancing their confidence and leadership skills. As a result, students are not just passive recipients of knowledge; they are active participants in shaping their educational journeys and preparing themselves for future challenges.
Our founder, H. Abdul Ghani, was born in a small village, Somanathapuram, Kurubarapalli (Krishnagiri District) in Tamil Nadu State. There were no facilities to learn and progress. His father, Hussan Khan, and mother, Noor Bi, worked very hard to educate him and instilled a desire in the mind and heart of our founder to serve the downtrodden and less fortunate through affectionate service.
After completing his B.A. degree in History at the Government Arts College of Madras University, our founder established this school on June 10, 1985, for the benefit of the less fortunate and the downtrodden in these backward areas with the help of local friends and philanthropists.
Through his hard work and sincere service, the school has become the number one institution in this area, with about 900 pupils from LKG to XII standard. It is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated with the Board of Matriculation Schools under L.Dis.No 1795/1/2011/09.03.11.
Learning shall continue from cradle to grave. The desire for learning continues in our founder as well. He enrolled in a B.Ed. course in the year 1991-1992 at Annamalai University in Chidambaram and completed the course.
His only motto is to ensure that local members of society become professional executives and skilled craftsmen in the future. He is dedicated to serving them to uplift society and contribute to the nation.
